Maintenance Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi\-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team. Responsible for carrying out maintenance activities relating to Blachford UK's manufacturing processes, machinery, plant and site, along with assisting with tooling repair and modification when required.
Job Summary:
Responsible for carrying out maintenance activities relating to Blachford UK’s manufacturing processes, machinery, tools, plant and site. To carry out tooling repair / modification as and when required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out day to day Pneumatics, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical PPM activities on machinery, based on monthly schedule.
- Ensure rapid response on all machinery breakdowns, fault finding the cause and implement rectification.
- Capture and record all maintenance work completed.
- Identify poor performing tooling and provide an improvement plan / capital replacement justification.
- Manage the tooling repair / cleaning process, and carry out any tooling remedial work required.
- Capture and record all required KPI information.
- Maintain stock of all critical spares.
- Liaise with Ancillaries Department re: maintenance activities.
- Undertake tasks/activities as and when required by the Production Manager.
- Work alongside external contractors as and when required.
- Assist in building maintenance activities, and project and process activities as and when required.
- Attend training courses relevant to process and machinery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Working knowledge of gear boxes, pumps, valves, chillers, compressors, motors, bearings and presses.
- Experience in using ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PLC experience.
- Interpretation of electrical schematics, pneumatic circuit diagrams and engineering drawings.
- MIG Welding.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively to support own workload and that of the team.
Shifts:
- Monday to Fridays 06:00 to 14:00
- Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 22:30, and Friday 14:00 to 20:00
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30, and Friday 08:00 to 13:00
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £42,000\.00 per year
