Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Care Home Administrator to oversee the smooth operation of our care facility’s administrative functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily office activities, supporting staff, and ensuring effective communication within the team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong clerical and organisational skills to contribute to a compassionate environment dedicated to providing exceptional care.
Duties
- Managing all administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Utilising QuickBooks for financial record keeping and invoicing
- Supervising administrative staff and supporting team management activities
- Handling human resources responsibilities such as staff scheduling, onboarding, and maintaining personnel records
- Coordinating appointments, meetings, and visitor arrangements
- Maintaining accurate records of resident information and care documentation
- Responding to phone calls with professional etiquette and providing excellent customer service
- Organising office supplies and ensuring the office environment remains tidy and efficient
- Assisting with compliance documentation and reporting requirements
- Proven experience with office administration, clerical work, or similar roles within a care environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is desirable
- Demonstrated team management and supervising experience
- Knowledge of human resources procedures and best practices in a healthcare setting
- Proficient in organisational tools such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to team efforts
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Pay: £13\.00\-£13\.21 per hour
