Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Contract Type: Full-time, temporary
Salary: £15+ per hour (Dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm
Morgan Hunt is working together with a specialist land based college who offer a range of specialist courses to students aged 16+ aimed at providing skills to ensure successful futures within agriculture and animal centred careers.
This is a mainstream college with learners who have a range of additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, Behavioural difficulties and dyslexia and students learning takes place both within and outside of the classroom.
Learning Facilitator Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support to pupils with barriers to learning.
- Work closely with tutors, employers, therapists, and families to deliver personalised interventions that promote learning, engagement, and independence.
- Support the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
- Use of specialist skills to help pupils access the curriculum, develop life skills, and achieve personal goals.
- Mentor and coach other staff in best practice strategies for SEND support.
- Professional experience in specialist SEND support, ideally within an educational setting (desirable not essential).
- Knowledge of autism, sensory needs, behaviour support, and other learning difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, families, and external agencies.
- A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach, with a commitment to enabling every pupil to thrive.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional references
