About the Role:

We are seeking a self\-motivated individual to work as a Logistics Operative in a fast\-paced, target\-driven warehouse environment. This is a full\-time position, 39 hours per week.

Under the direction of the respective Supervisor, you will be trained to work within the Warehouse environment with varying duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading/unloading parcels and pallets and handling them safely.


• Checking quality of inbound \& outbound goods and wrapping them for storage/transport.


• Using barcode scanning technology to book in, store, and retrieve products.


• Driving company vehicles including FLT trucks, van and aisle sweeper.


• Housekeeping of the warehouse and yard, including handling of recycling.


• Other warehouse duties as assigned, such as racking inspections, administrative tasks, etc.

Essential Skills:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.


• Capable of lifting and carrying items using approved manual handling techniques and equipment.


• Impeccable attention to detail. Successful candidate should be able to work with high levels of initiative and have effective time\-keeping skills.

Essential Qualifications

• Full UK Category B Driving Licence or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Forklift Licence (Reach / Counterbalance / Pivot Steer / PPT) – Full training will be provided, if necessary, as part of the role.


• Racking Safety Awareness \- Full training will be provided, if necessary, as part of the role.

Work Location: In person – Main warehousing site is in DY9 8BQ but there will be regular requirement to drive the works van to, and work in our secondary warehouse in DY9 8HG.

Pay: From £12\.71 per hour
