Reports to: Registered Manager / Care Coordinator

Job Purpose
To provide high\-quality, person\-centred live\-in care that enables individuals to remain safely and independently in their own homes. You will build trusted relationships with clients and their families while delivering compassionate support that promotes wellbeing, independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care
- Support with washing, bathing and personal hygiene.
- Assist with dressing and grooming.
- Support with continence care.
- Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Encourage independence wherever possible.
- Prompt, assist or administer medication in accordance with company policies and training.
- Complete medication records accurately.
- Report concerns immediately.
- Prepare healthy meals.
- Encourage adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Support with shopping and meal planning.
- Monitor changes in appetite.
Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home by assisting with:
- Laundry
- Ironing
- Cleaning
- Changing bedding
- Shopping
- Light household duties

You will:
- Build meaningful relationships.

- Support community access where appropriate.
- Provide emotional reassurance and companionship.
You may provide support for people living with:
- Dementia
- Mental health conditions
- Physical disabilities
- Complex care needs
Record Keeping
You will:
- Complete accurate daily care notes on digital format.
- Record medication administration on digital format.
- Report incidents and safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Use electronic care systems in line with company procedures.
Every employee has a responsibility to safeguard adults at risk.
You must:
- Recognise signs of abuse or neglect.
- Report concerns immediately.
- Maintain professional boundaries.
- Promote dignity, choice and human rights.
- Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures.
You will:
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Use PPE appropriately.
- Follow moving and handling guidance.
- Report hazards and accidents.
- Work safely at all times.

Essential
- Caring, compassionate and patient.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Able to work independently.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Willingness to complete mandatory training.
- 2 years previous experience in care.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health \& Social Care.
- Medication training.
- Experience supporting individuals with dementia or mental health conditions.
- Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £488\.40\-£700\.00 per week
