Lecturer Mechanical Engineering
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our expanding Engineering provision. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of engineers by delivering high\-quality teaching in Fabrication and Welding.
You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and acting as a Programme Tutor for a caseload of learners. Working collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners, you will help create a dynamic learning environment that inspires students to achieve their full potential and progress into successful careers.
Actual Salary: £21,414\.29 \- £27,105\.21 per annum, full time equivalent of £33,787 \- £42,766
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high\-quality teaching across a range of Mechanical Engineering courses, with a focus on Fabrication and Welding.
- Act as a Programme Tutor, supporting student progress, attendance, and achievement.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning, ensuring accurate tracking of student performance and progression.
- Develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences using innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Build strong links with industry to enhance curriculum relevance and support student progression into employment.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, curriculum development, and continuous improvement.
- Support student wellbeing, behaviour, and safeguarding in line with college policies.
- Participate in recruitment activities such as open days and promotional events.
- A relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Minimum Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
- A recognised teaching qualification (Level 5\) or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to deliver engaging and effective teaching.
