About the Role
We are seeking a talented and people\-focused Engagement \& Development Specialist to join our dynamic People Services team for a fixed\-term period. This is a fantastic opportunity for an L\&D or engagement professional who enjoys variety and is motivated by making a visible impact in a short space of time.
In this role, you will be part of the organisation development (OD) function, working closely with key colleagues including the Associate Director, HR, Internal Communications Assistant, Talent Acquisition Manager and OD Administrator. You’ll play an important role in shaping and delivering initiatives that support both workforce capability and colleague experience, helping to define and evolve our approach as we continue to strengthen and modernise our employee experience.
You will split your time between designing and delivering high\-quality learning experiences and shaping engagement initiatives that support a positive, inclusive and high\-performing culture.
From facilitating workshops and coaching colleagues, to leading engagement activity such as surveys, recognition programmes and wellbeing initiatives, you’ll have real scope to influence the employee experience and contribute to meaningful organisational outcomes.
This is a group role, so you will work flexibly across both campus sites in Doncaster and Scunthorpe.
Contract Type: This is a fixed\-term position until December 2026\.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning interventions aligned to organisational priorities
- Facilitate workshops and development sessions that build capability and confidence across teams
- Provide 1:1 and group coaching to support individual and team performance
- Plan and deliver employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, wellbeing activity and recognition programmes
- Analyse engagement data and feedback to identify insights and drive continuous improvement
- Build strong, credible relationships with managers and stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner on development and engagement
- Facilitate discussions and feedback sessions to co\-create solutions with colleagues
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of learning and engagement activity
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion and wellbeing
- Experience designing and delivering training, workshops or facilitated sessions in a workplace environment
- Hold a recognised coaching qualification (e.g. ILM, ICF or equivalent)
- Experience supporting and enhancing employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, wellbeing programmes and internal events
- Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands and deliver to deadlines
- GCSE English and Maths at Level 2 (or equivalent)
