Learning and Development Partner

Help develop the people who make a difference in children’s lives.

At Connective Care Group, we believe great care starts with great people.

We bring together specialist services across children’s residential care, education and therapeutic support, working together to create safe, stable and nurturing environments where children can build trusting relationships, heal from past experiences and achieve positive outcomes.

Our approach is grounded in trauma\-informed, relational practice. That means we don’t just focus on what we do — we focus on *how* we do it, and the difference that makes to the children and young people we support.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Learning and Development Partner who can help turn great learning into great practice.

The Role

This is a hands\-on, people\-focused role for someone who knows how to engage frontline teams, bring learning to life and make training genuinely relevant to the realities of children’s services.

You’ll work across our residential homes, schools and central services, delivering high\-quality learning that builds confidence, strengthens practice and supports our teams to provide the very best care.

You won’t be sitting behind a desk designing strategy. You’ll be out in the organisation, working alongside our people, delivering training, building relationships and helping teams put learning into practice every day.

Your work will contribute directly to creating confident, capable teams — and ultimately, better experiences and outcomes for the children and young people we care for.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging, high\-quality training across residential care, education and central teams

  • Facilitate inductions, mandatory training and specialist learning programmes

  • Make learning practical, relevant and directly applicable to frontline practice

  • Support teams to maintain high standards of safeguarding, compliance and practice

  • Help services remain confident, prepared and inspection\-ready

  • Coordinate and deliver training across multiple locations

  • Build trusted relationships with managers, leaders and frontline colleagues

  • Identify learning and capability gaps and help develop solutions

  • Support the consistent application of our values, approaches and standards

  • Maintain accurate, compliant and audit\-ready training records

  • Gather feedback and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our learning offer
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can engage people, challenge constructively and inspire confidence.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience delivering training within a regulated environment, ideally children’s residential care, education, social care or a related setting

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and workforce development

  • Experience working with frontline teams and translating theory into practical application

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills

  • The confidence to work with everyone from new starters to experienced operational leaders

  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and locations

  • A proactive, solutions\-focused approach

  • The credibility to build positive relationships and influence practice

  • A genuine passion for developing people and improving outcomes for children and young people
Most importantly, you’ll understand that training is only successful when it changes practice.

Why Join Connective Care Group?

This is an opportunity to do more than deliver training.

You’ll be joining an organisation where learning and development is seen as an essential part of delivering outstanding care. Your work will help our teams feel more confident, capable and equipped to support children with complex needs and lived experiences.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Make a meaningful contribution to children’s lives through workforce development

  • Work across a diverse group of residential, education and therapeutic services

  • Help shape how learning is experienced across a growing organisation

  • Work alongside passionate people who care deeply about what they do

  • Build strong relationships across the Group and influence practice

  • Contribute to a culture where learning, reflection and continuous improvement are valued

  • Develop your own career within a growing and purpose\-driven organisation
