Kitchen Designer/Sales
Job Overview
We are seeking a creative Kitchen Sales/Designer to join our team. This role involves working closely with clients to design and recommend bespoke kitchen solutions, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for design, and the ability to guide customers confidently through the design and sales process. This is a position based on a basic salary plus commission, suitable for individuals passionate about kitchen design, interiors, and customer service, who are eager to contribute to a leading home improvement company.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, lifestyle, and preferences for kitchen projects.
- Create detailed kitchen design plans using CAD programmes, or similar software to visualise concepts.
- Present design proposals to clients, highlighting features, functionality, and design benefits while upselling relevant products and accessories.
- Assist clients in selecting materials, finishes, worktops, appliances, fixtures, and fittings that align with their style and budget.
- Conduct accurate site measurements
- Provide excellent customer service through clear and professional communication.
- Collaborate with suppliers, installers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain organised records of client interactions, quotations, designs, and sales progress.
- Manage projects proactively from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Previous experience in kitchen design and kitchen sales is expected.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD software, or similar design programs is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Basic maths skills for measuring spaces accurately and preparing quotations.
- A passion for design, attention to detail, and a customer\-focused approach are essential.

The role also offers excellent scope for development beyond kitchen design, with the opportunity to gain experience in bathroom design and sales, as well as working with natural materials including stone, tiles and wood flooring.

Work Schedule
Our showroom is open Monday to Friday, 08:45 am – 5:15 pm. This role offers a dynamic environment with a consistent schedule, providing work\-life balance while contributing to an exciting and growing team.
