Join our team at The Stirling Arms, a vibrant community pub located in the heart of Hove known for its warm atmosphere, extensive range of cask ales, draught beers, and exceptional food offer. We also have 4 guest rooms above the pub that are always busy with check ins / outs.

- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Set clear roles and responsibilities for the management team, and supervisors ensure the team are constantly being developed and that they feel well\-supported and motivated.
- Motivate the team to provide exceptional customer service, building relationships with our guests.
- Manage cashing up and locking up procedures with confidence and accuracy.
- Handle cellar management, including the care and handling of real ales.
- Maintain a high standard of stock control, performing regular line checks.
- Uphold our tradition of excellence in hospitality, contributing to menu planning and special events.
- This is a freehouse so lots of opportunity to get involved in product choice and planning.
- Previous experience as a General Manager, preferably in a pub/bar setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- A people person with a genuine love for hospitality.
- Positive thinker with the initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
- Great attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Confident in all aspects of food service.
- Comfortable with cashing up and locking up responsibilities.
- Experienced in cellar management, particularly with real ales.
- Strong understanding of stock control and line checks.
- Must hold a personal licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
