About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join DBD’s Installation team as an Installation Assistant. You will be working closely with a Qualified Installer, learning to fit a range of kitchen appliances in new build homes, ensuring site managers receive an excellent service from start\-to\-finish.

DBD have a great success rate of promoting from within, so this role would be ideal for an individual who wants to learn a trade and become a Qualified Installer.

A full UK manual driving licence is required to drive our DBD vans to and from sites, and a CSCS card is preferable but not essential.

Who are we looking for?:
  • Practically minded with a methodical and organised approach to work.

  • Able to follow instruction and apply learning to ensure tasks are completed accurately and safely.

  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with both colleagues and customers in a professional manner.

  • Good time management skills, with the ability to meet early start times and site schedules.

  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling activities on a daily basis.

  • Demonstrates a positive, professional and team \-oriented attitude.

  • Resilient and able to respond constructively to challenges on site.

  • Possesses good geographical knowledge and a full driving license (3 points max)

  • Literate with a good knowledge of English, both verbal and written.

  • CSCS card (desirable but not essential).
What you'll do:
  • Support the Installer in completing all necessary pre \-departure checks at the DBD RDC, including checking manifests, appliances, PPE, and required paperwork are accurate and in place.

  • Assist with travel to and from sites, supporting efficient and safe driving practices where required.

  • Conduct pre \-installation checks on plots to ensure readiness for installation, including confirmation of live services and kitchen completion.

  • Support the Installer with the installation of appliances, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with training, installation manuals, and company standards.

  • Ensure all work undertaken is completed to a high standard, maintaining quality and consistency at all times.

  • Ensure plots are left in the same condition they were found prior to leaving site.

  • Support the accurate completion of installation records, including digital POD and obtaining site sign \-off.

Pay: £30,500\.00\-£33,500\.00 per year
