Interim Team Manager - Children and Young People’s Disability Team - Reading Council

Our client, Reading Council, is seeking an agency Team Manager for its Children and Young People Disability team.

This post will last at least 6 months.

And it’s paid at £47.50 per hour.

The role will involve the following:

• Managing and supervising social workers


• Oversight of cases


• Safeguarding and risk management


• Multi-agency partnership working


• Performance and quality assurance


• Child Protection and CIN for Disabled Children


• Social Care assessments, Short breaks and respite services, direct payments and personal budgets.


• Hybrid working (2 days per week in the office)

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker


• Fully Social Work England registered


• 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)


• Must have significant experience managing social work staff.


• Ideal candidate will have specialist knowledge of working with disabled children
