Private Client Senior Associate/Partner Designate – Reading

A leading Chambers-ranked Legal 200 law firm in Reading is looking for an experienced Senior Associate Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team, with a clear and supported route to Partnership.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Private Client Lawyer who wants to combine high-quality work, leadership responsibility and genuine career progression in a collaborative Thames Valley firm.

The Role

You will advise a loyal and high-net-worth client base on a broad range of private client matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning


• Trusts and inheritance tax planning


• Probate and estate administration


• Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)


• Court of Protection and mental capacity matters

As a senior member of the team, you will also:

• Support the strategic growth of the Private Client department


• Mentor and supervise Junior Solicitors and Trainees


• Build and maintain strong client relationships


• Contribute to business development and networking initiatives

What We’re Looking For

You will likely have:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 10+ years’ PQE in private client law


• Strong technical expertise in complex estates, trusts and tax planning


• Experience handling high-value probate and succession matters


• Excellent client care and relationship management skills


• Supervisory or mentoring experience within a legal team


• Ambition to progress to Partner level within a respected firm

Experience with Court of Protection work would be advantageous but is not essential.
