A highly regarded Central London Local Authority is seeking an Insurance Claims Officer to join their specialist Insurance & Risk team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience across insurance claims, legal support, housing claims, investigations or dispute resolution who are looking to build a long-term career within a supportive public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities • Investigating liability and insurance claims
- Managing housing, highways and personal injury claims
- Assessing acceptance or denial of legal liability
- Gathering evidence and witness statements
- Liaising with solicitors, claimants and third parties
- Handling MOJ portal claims
- Supporting litigation and court preparation
- Maintaining accurate claims databases and records
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Genuine interest in claims handling and law
- Local authority or public sector exposure
- MOJ portal knowledge
- Insurance or legal background
