Are you ready to help turn great ideas into meaningful improvements for patients, families and staff? Do you thrive on connecting people, communicating creatively and inspiring others to learn and improve? If you are looking for a varied role where your skills can make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
At North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), our purpose is to help people when they need us most by delivering the right care, at the right time, in the right place, every time. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Improvement Support Officer to help turn this purpose into meaningful improvement across the Trust.
This is an opportunity to develop your improvement expertise while supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of programmes, events and initiatives across the North West.
Working closely with Improvement Managers, operational and corporate teams, and leaders across NWAS, you will be a key coordination point for improvement activity. You will engage with colleagues across NWAS, support coaching and teaching, coordinate programme documentation and actions, monitor progress, and create clear reports, briefings and communications for a range of audiences.
You will join a supportive Improvement Team committed to learning, collaboration and professional development, with opportunities to build your skills and contribute to meaningful change across NWAS.
You will be organised, adaptable and proactive, with experience of coordinating activities, producing clear written and visual information, and building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be confident balancing competing priorities, presenting information clearly and creatively, and working collaboratively to support improvement across the Trust.
The role requires regular travel to NWAS locations across the North West.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life\-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non\-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non\-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013\. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non\-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to an inclusive recruitment process. If you require a reasonable adjustment at any stage, please let us know so that we can support you.

Graduate visa holders should have no expectation of long\-term employment through sponsorship. Additionally, your visa conditions and validity period must allow you to work in the role question and for a suitable period to allow training and execution without requiring sponsorship.
Please ensure that you have read and understood the job description and person specification before applying.
Interviews are expected to take place around 10 November 2026\.
