Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrical OR Lead to act as the Owner’s Representative on major grid\-connection and Data Centre project based in Fredericia, Denmark. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of high\-voltage civil works, utility/grid interface experience, and the ability to manage contractors, ensure compliance, and represent the client’s interests throughout design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end\-to\-end HV substation design from concept studies, Grid Connection Agreements, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), to detailed design.
- Define interfaces between incoming HV infrastructure and internal facility power systems (Generators, UPS, MSBs, and switchgear).
- Direct the commissioning process, oversee Senior Authorised Person (SAP) switching protocols, and manage Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Oversee HV civil engineering packages for grid\-connection projects
- Act as the client’s on\-site representative with TSOs/DSOs, EPCs and contractors
- Review designs, method statements, and construction drawings
- Ensure regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality assurance
- Manage project risks, change control, and progress reporting
- Qualifications* Strong background in HV substations, transmission/distribution projects, or grid\-related civil works
- Experience acting in an Owner’s Engineer/Owner’s Representative capacity
- Construction sector experience, ideally within a Data Centre environment
- Exposure to large scale complex projects, collaborating effectively and directly with client
- Excellent stakeholder management
