Nottingham Girls’ High School is part of a cluster group of four schools within the GDST. In this role you will collaborate regularly with HR colleagues across the cluster, alongside the HR Manager (Cluster) and the GDST HR Business Partner.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR administrative support across the full employee lifecycle with strong emphasis on recruitment, payroll, employee records and the accurate upkeep of the Single Central Register (SCR), to ensure ISI compliance. You will also act as a key point of contact for staff, managers and members of the Senior Leadership Team.
We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters and the confidence to ensure HR policies and procedures are followed at all levels.
Experience in a busy HR role is essential, ideally within an education setting. A CIPD Level 3 qualification is desirable, or equivalent HR experience at this level.
Qualifications
- Good level of general education
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or demonstrable equivalent HR\-related experience of working at this level
- Working in an HR department
- Experience of using management information systems
- Sound administrative experience, ideally in an education setting
- Experience of carrying out recruitment and compliance checks including maintaining the Single Central Record would be desirable
- Understanding of Safeguarding within a school
- Good understanding of and demonstrated ability to apply data protection requirements and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in using standard software (i.e., MSOffice)
- Ability to work in a stand\-alone role
