HR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
ABurnet Group is a privately owned international manufacturer. We are a growing company with 10\-15% year on year potential in 2026 . We are in need of structural improvements and change to realise our full potential.
This role would suit someone who has time served experience in the relevant areas but who now either wishes to reduce hours or work around family life. Times of work and pay are to be agreed with the right candidate however we do require on site attendance from around 9:30am to 2:30 pm. Further work from home may be possible for the right candidate.
The Role
This will be to initiate from the ground up a new HR structure and strategy to assist company growth, including refining and embedding procedures, review and audit compliance and drive through culture change.
Reporting to our Managing Director, you will work in partnership with all departments in the UK to advise and create a HR strategy to deliver results in a growing company, both in an office and factory environment.
You must have the mindset to champion culture change across the company to promote growth.
- Create, manage and impart best HR practice across the business
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Assist a small admin team to deliver all operational HR matters including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations etc
- Implement KPI's and manage performance appraisal systems to drive employee development.
- Support and guide managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement initiatives.
- Support management and leadership to achieve commercial goals
- Continuous improvement of systems, policies and procedures
- Have a focus on the employee and training cycles
- Ability to evidence experience in all HR matters
- Previous support in organisational change and development initiatives.
- Qualified but with ‘hands on’ approach to operations.
- Develop and maintain training schedules across departments.
- Support the creation and implementation of Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
- Support managers in implementing KPI's
- Coordinate internal and external training initiatives to support employee growth.
- Able to ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies.
- Thorough knowledge of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues.
- Own and continuously improve the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and professional experience.
- Experience of manufacturing or a similar commercial sector
- Lead the Appraisal Process System, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with business objectives.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and support a positive workplace culture.
- Translate business needs into actionable HR activities.
