Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our strong successful and innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analysing, and refining mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting\-edge ride system design and other theme park products you will utilise advanced engineering tools in a collaborative environment.
Duties
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software such as SolidWorks and CAD tools.
- Create detailed schematics and technical drawings adhering to general design and technical standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures or inefficiencies to identify solutions and improvements.
- Analyse mechanical knowledge to optimise designs for manufacturability, durability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross\-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within larger projects.
- Document design processes, test procedures, and technical reports in accordance with company and client standards.
- Attention to detail is critical and ability to demonstrate this will be essential
- Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and general schematics drafting. We would expect to see several years experience
- Experience with general design and technical principles for precise manufacturing specifications.
- Knowledge of system design including integration of electrical controls with mechanical components.
- Practical understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer passionate about innovative system design and eager to apply their technical expertise in a dynamic environment. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem\-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Pay: £28,792\.47\-£58,299\.76 per year
