Blackpool Transport is looking for an organised, proactive and people\-focused HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast\-paced environment and wants to play a key role in supporting employees and managers across the business.
As a HR Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle, helping to deliver a professional, efficient and compliant HR service. From recruitment and onboarding to employee records and HR administration, you'll be at the heart of ensuring our people processes run smoothly.### Key Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing* Providing day\-to\-day administrative support across the HR function.
- Maintaining accurate employee records, HR systems and personnel files.
- Processing new starters, leavers and employment changes.
- Preparing HR letters, contracts, forms and other documentation.
- Supporting recruitment activities, including interview coordination and candidate communications.
- Assisting with onboarding and ensuring all pre\-employment checks are completed.
- Processing references, DBS checks and right\-to\-work documentation.
- Administering staff passes and employee identification processes.
- Taking professional and accurate notes at HR meetings, including disciplinary, grievance and welfare meetings.
- Responding to HR\-related enquiries from employees and managers.
- Supporting HR projects, employee communications and policy administration.
- Ensuring all HR information is handled confidentially and in line with data protection requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We're looking for someone who is:* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional, approachable and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Confident communicating with people at all levels.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experienced in administration, ideally within an HR environment.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office and the ability to use HR systems.
- Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified or currently working towards a CIPD or other HR\-related qualification.
- 28 days’ holiday per year rising annually to 33 days after 5 years, inclusive of 8 public holidays.
