Occupational Therapist Clinical Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team at The Harbour, Blackpool, as a Band 7 Clinical Specialist.
The Harbour is a modern, purpose\-built 154\-bed Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit providing care for individuals with complex mental health needs. This role offers the opportunity to provide clinical leadership, support service development, and deliver high\-quality, person\-centred care within a dynamic inpatient setting.
You will work collaboratively across inpatient services and with community teams to support recovery\-focused pathways and improve outcomes for service users.
Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, formulation, and intervention for service users with complex needs
Lead and support the delivery of high\-quality, evidence\-based OT practice within the inpatient setting
Contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, including risk assessment, care planning, and discharge planning
Support patient flow and timely, safe discharge planning
Provide clinical leadership, support, and supervision to Occupational Therapy staff and students
Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and governance processes
Work collaboratively with inpatient and community teams to ensure continuity of care
