Willmotts Transport is one of the largest independent warehousing and distribution companies in the South West, based in Waterlip near Shepton Mallet. We are seeking a proactive HR \& Recruitment Administrator to join our friendly team, with a strong focus on supporting and driving the recruitment function across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment

  • Lead the end\-to\-end recruitment administration process

  • Draft and advertise vacancies across appropriate platforms

  • Proactively monitor applications, screen CVs, and shortlist candidates

  • Liaise closely with hiring managers to coordinate recruitment needs

  • Arrange interviews, issue confirmations, and manage candidate communication throughout the process

  • Provide timely feedback to candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience

  • Support hiring managers with interview preparation and documentation
Onboarding \& Pre\-employment
  • Coordinate the offer process, including preparing offer letters and contracts

  • Carry out all pre\-employment checks (right to work, references, etc.)

  • Ensure all onboarding documentation is completed, compliant, and electronically filed

  • Prepare and coordinate induction schedules for new starters

  • Deliver HR inductions, ensuring a strong introduction to the business
HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records using HRIS (People HR)

  • Log sickness, absence, and general employee data

  • Monitor and maintain accurate holiday records

  • Add training and competency records to the training portal

  • Support general HR administration activities as required

  • Manage uniform ordering and distribution

  • Respond to HR\-related queries and calls professionally
Key Competencies
  • Strong administrative background with a clear interest and experience in recruitment

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage candidates and stakeholders professionally

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities in a fast\-paced environment

  • Confident working with systems and Microsoft Office Professional, confidential, and candidate\-focused approach

  • Hours of work Monday to Friday 09:00 \- 17:00
