Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our Hospitality offering at Higher Farm which includes accommodation, restaurant, bar and farm experiences . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services.
We are a growing business with lots of ideas and opportunity, this is a chance for someone to optimise and develop a unique hospitality business with their own initiative.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all departments ensuring seamless coordination and high standards of service.
- Manage the P\&L for profitability through revenue boosting, budget adherence, and cost control measures.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and optimise profitability.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to foster a motivated and professional team environment.
- Expect a very hands on role, where you should expect to be spending 40 hours on the floor
- Manage human resources functions such as scheduling, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee guest relations to ensure exceptional service delivery, addressing any complaints or special requests promptly.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to promote hotel services and maximise occupancy rates.
- Maintain compliance with health \& safety regulations and industry standards.
- Foster a positive organisational culture centred on hospitality excellence and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in accommodation and restaurant management or a similar hospitality leadership role.
- Strong understanding of guest services, human resources management, and operational procedures within the hospitality sector.
- Understanding of various EPOS, reservation, and operational systems.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- A professional demeanour with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances within a fast\-paced environment.
