We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operation at The Abbey Hotel.

This is a key leadership role within the hotel, taking responsibility for the cleanliness and presentation of our guest bedrooms and public areas. We’re looking for someone who leads from the front, brings energy and organisation to a busy department, and has a sincere passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.

What you will be doing

• Leading, motivating and developing the housekeeping team to consistently deliver high standards


• Taking responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation and overall standards of guest bedrooms and public areas


• Completing regular room and public area inspections and taking action where standards are not met


• Planning daily workloads and ensuring rooms are ready efficiently and on time for our guests


• Managing rotas, staffing levels and departmental payroll in line with occupancy and business requirements


• Recruiting, training, coaching and developing team members to build a confident and engaged housekeeping team


• Managing linen, guest supplies, cleaning products and departmental stock, ensuring effective cost control


• Working closely with Reception and Maintenance to ensure room status, maintenance issues and guest requests are communicated and resolved promptly


• Monitoring productivity and departmental performance while maintaining excellent quality standards


• Ensuring all health and safety, COSHH and company procedures are followed consistently


• Responding professionally to guest feedback and taking ownership of any housekeeping\-related concerns


• Building a positive working environment where high standards, teamwork and pride are part of every day

Pay: Up to £35,000\.00 per year
