The Role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Senior / Tax Manager / Semi\-Senior Accountant to join our growing practice team on a part\-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for finance and tax professionals with strong practice experience who are confident managing their own workload, assisting Directors, and supporting junior staff.

You will work with a varied client base, predominantly made up of individuals and owner\-managed businesses, alongside some high\-net\-worth individuals and trusts.

Key Responsibilities \& Finance Keywords

• Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporate clients


• Managing corporate tax, personal tax allocation, and self\-assessment portfolios


• Reviewing tax returns prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback


• Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients


• Managing workloads, assisting Directors, and handling ad\-hoc financial and tax advisory tasks


• Utilizing strong financial acumen and accountancy practices to ensure absolute compliance

• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5\+ years working in an accountancy practice (suitable for Semi\-Seniors, Tax Seniors, and transitioning Tax Managers)


• Qualifications: ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent finance/accounting qualifications (candidates qualified by experience are strongly encouraged to apply)


• Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of UK tax compliance, Self Assessment, employment taxes, partnerships, P11Ds, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax (IHT), and Corporation Tax


• Desirable Knowledge: Making Tax Digital (MTD), trusts, overseas tax matters, and IRIS software proficiency


• Core Competencies: Financial reporting, tax planning, workload management, and effective communication with HMRC and clients
