Housekeeping Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and hotel management, ensuring that all guest areas are impeccably presented and that our team operates efficiently. This role requires a proactive leader who is committed to delivering exceptional service and fostering a positive work environment.

This job would be across both of our sites (one in padiham and one in Darwen) so must be able to travel to both.

Duties

• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.


• Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff, promoting teamwork and efficiency.


• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established standards.


• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.


• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise workflow.


• Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.


• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the hotel.


• Maintain records of staff performance, attendance, and training progress.

Skills

• Proven experience in a housekeeping role within the hospitality or hotel industry.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.


• Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.


• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.


• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment used in the hospitality sector.


• A customer\-focused mindset with a commitment to enhancing guest satisfaction.
