Housekeeping Manager - Raheen Lodge (Full-time)
We are currently recruiting for a Full\-time Housekeeping Manager for Raheen Lodge.
Hours of work \- 37\.5 hours per week
Salary \- €15\.00 per hour
Purpose of the role:
Supervise work activities of housekeeping assistants to ensure clean and orderly resident rooms, public area and stairways. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action and to implement high standard of cleanliness and thus enhance the look and enjoyment of the environment for residents and their families as well as minimising contamination and cross infection within Bartra Healthcare facilities.
Role and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management and supervision of cleaning staff
- Ensuring all designated areas are thoroughly cleaned as per cleaning schedules and checklists
- Ensuring all equipment is used and stored as necessary
- Ensuring regular checks of equipment and reporting any deficiencies
- Completing rosters and track holiday leave ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times
- Responsible for stock ordering and monthly stock take
- Carrying out frequent checks during the course of the shift that all areas are being cleaned correctly and efficiently
- Complying with the Health and Safety Regulations and Fire Policy. Report hazards to Management
- Following company or client policy in dealing with customer comments or complaints
- Ensuring that clothing, including footwear, and personal hygiene of the housekeeping staff is of the highest standards at all times
- Adherence to strict site guidelines and procedures and infection control practices
- Participation and provision of staff training to improve standard of performance of the housekeeping department.
- Suggesting areas of improvement and taking any corrective action, as required
- Relevant Qualification in Hospitality and/or Hospitality Management or
- Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Management or
- Minimum QQI Level 6 or relevant 3rdLevel Qualification in Supervisory or Management Practice.
- Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in Similar role
- Knowledge of HACCP including good hygiene practices
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Best Practice
