Home Care Assistant

Pay: £12\.71 \- £13\.00 per hour
Mileage: 45p per mile for drivers

Full\-time hours available

As a Community Care Worker, you will agree a working pattern on a week 1 and week 2 shift pattern, which includes:

Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday
Evenings as agreed within your working shift pattern
Early shift: 7:00am \- 3:00pm
Late shift: 3:00pm \- 10:00pm

We need caring, kind, compassionate people to work across Bolton, providing high\-quality, person\-centred care in the Community Care Worker role.

This role includes supporting adults with a wide range of care and support needs, including older people, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, dementia, complex needs, and people who require support to live safely and independently at home.

This role may also include supporting children and young people with autism and learning disabilities, including taking them out into the community on short breaks. This could include supporting them to access activities, build confidence, enjoy social opportunities, and have safe, positive experiences outside of the home.

Job Description

As a Community Care Worker in Bolton, you will provide care and support to meet individual personal care needs. You will:

Provide personal care that protects people’s dignity.

Promote independence using enabling approaches.

Support adults with a range of care needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, complex care needs, and age\-related support needs.

Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.

Connect people to their communities, accessing local support and services.

Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.

Support children and young people with autism and learning disabilities during short breaks and community\-based activities.

Encourage social inclusion, confidence, independence, and safe access to the community.

Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting and sharing information with the right people at the right time.

Induction Training

You do not need care experience. If you have the right values, we will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Community Care Worker.

As a Community Care Worker, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on:

Community wellbeing, individual wellbeing, and personal outcomes;

Fluids and nutrition;

Medication, moving and handling, basic life support and first aid;

Infection prevention and control, health and safety;

Professional boundaries, confidentiality, equality and diversity;

Safeguarding, mental health and capacity;

Dementia awareness, autism awareness, and supporting adults, children and young people with different care and support needs.
