Higher Clerical Officer
An opportunity has arisen for a Higher Clerical Office to join us to be responsible for providing clerical services for the Trust Catering Department at Royal Oldham Hospital.
The aims of the department are to provide a high quality, customer focused, cost effective, and well\-presented service, providing a service to suppliers, service users, staff, visitors and patients.
You will ensure purchasing procedures are adhered to, work with purchasing and suppliers to unsure all provisions are received from nominated suppliers and processed within the trust guidelines, correct and economical use of materials, equipment are followed throughout.
Duties will include, collation of patient menus, using computer systems for ordering and receiving goods, handling telephone enquiries into the department. Assist in keeping HR and Training records.
You will be able to work without supervision in a busy catering office, at the stated place of work.
To work as part of an Admin team, responsible for the collation of Patient meal orders. You will use NHS computerised systems for ordering stores and goods receiving. You will also keep accurate records of all purchases and inter departmental transfers.
To be responsible for submitting accurate accounting of all expenditure and income to the Catering Manager at the end of each month.
To keep account of all items transferred from the Catering Department to other divisions within the hospital.
To maintain and keep up to date staff absences, training records, and annual leave.
To deal with calls and correspondence into the department.
To work as part of a time, on all other general office duties.
