HEALTH \& SAFETY ADVISOR
An opportunity to work for the largest service and sales support network within the UK Sheet Metal Industry.
This is a new permanent role.
Overall Purpose
The Health \& Safety Advisor is responsible for ensuring organisation wide H\&S compliance, mitigating operational risks and working closely with managers to continuously improve safety performance and workplace culture. This role acts as a key internal resource for all safety matters, providing guidance, driving compliance initiatives and maintaining robust health and safety frameworks.

Head Office, Kidderminster.

Statutory \& Regulatory Compliance:
· Legislative adherence \& policy governance,
· Equipment safety (PUWER \& LOLER)
· Asset risk assessments
Stakeholder Engagement \& Reporting:
· Presenting to stakeholders
Committees \& Culture Improvement:
· H\&S committees
· Culture \& performance
Audits, Inspections \& Regulatory Compliance:
· Internal audits
· External audits
· External inspectors
Fire Safety \& Emergency Preparedness:
· Fire Alarm Checks
· First aid maintenance
Training \& Development:
· Training coordination
Incident Management \& Investigations:
· Incident investigations
Documentation \& Administration:
· H\&S file maintenance
Technical competencies:
· Experience: prior experience in a dedicated Health \& Safety advisory role within an engineering or manufacturing environment with practical oversight of machinery safety regimes or similar
· Technical proficiencies: comprehensive knowledge of current UK health and safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques. Robust working knowledge of UK safety legislation, specifically HASWA, PUWER 1998, LOLER 1998
· Education / qualifications: NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent). HNC (science / engineering or similar)
· Behavioural: strong attention to detail, personal accountability, analytical, problem solving skills and a patient, methodical approach to work, work under pressure, to tight deadlines, a structured \& methodical approach to compliance and logbook maintenance
