About the role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Quality Assurance to join our leadership team in Wolverhampton. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and raising standards across our children's homes, ensuring that our young people consistently receive the highest quality of care in line with Ofsted requirements and our own values.

This is a brand new position within our organisation a genuine opportunity to shape the function from the ground up. You will have the freedom to define what quality assurance looks like here, build the frameworks, set the standards and leave a lasting mark on the organisation and the children we care for.

This role is for someone who is passionate about quality, accountability and continuous improvement and who understands that outstanding outcomes for children start with outstanding practice.

Salary

£40,000 \- £45,000 \- OTE up to £55,000

What you'll be doing:
  • Leading and overseeing quality assurance across all residential homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Home Regulations 2015

  • Conducting regular audits, home visits and quality monitoring to identify strengths and areas for improvement

  • Developing and implementing quality improvement plans in collaboration with Registered Managers

  • Preparing and supporting homes ahead of Ofsted inspections, including mock inspections and regulatory compliance checks

  • Analysing data, incidents, complaints and outcomes to identify trends and drive improvement

  • Producing clear, evidence\-based quality assurance reports for senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Supporting the embedding of therapeutic, trauma\-informed practice across all homes

  • Acting as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies, local authorities and commissioning teams

  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice and high standards
What we're looking for:
  • Significant experience in a quality assurance, compliance or senior management role within residential childcare

  • Strong working knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks, Children's Home Regulations and quality standards

  • Desirable knowledge of CQC Frameworks and regulations.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

  • Proven ability to analyse performance data and translate findings into actionable improvements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing for senior audiences

  • A values\-led approach and genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across several sites

  • Full UK driving licence required
