Salary: Between £60 \- £85k (dependent on experience)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8\.30am – 5pm

We are seeking a commercially driven, high\-calibre Head of Procurement with experience within the pharmacy sector to take full ownership of our purchasing strategy at Peak Pharmacy. Reporting directly to the Managing Director.
We are looking for a strategic negotiator who understands the nuances of the pharmaceutical market—from high\-stakes brand equalisation deals to the fast\-moving generics and PI (Parallel Import) sectors. You will lead the charge in driving margin expansion while ensuring stock continuity across our pharmacy network. You will be responsible for a dedicated \& experienced team that will support with the below responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Brand Equalisation Deals \& Rebates: Lead negotiations with pharmaceutical manufacturers to secure competitive equalisation deals and rebate structures.
- Generics \& PI Buying: Drive the strategy for generic purchasing and Parallel Import sourcing, leveraging market fluctuations to maximise profit margins.
- OTC \& Retail Strategy: Oversee the procurement of Over\-the\-Counter (OTC) medicines and retail products, ensuring our range remains competitive and consumer\-focused.
- Indirect Spend: Take full accountability within the team for non\-stock procurement, including stationery and consumables, to drive lean operational costs.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain high\-level relationships with wholesalers, manufacturers, and service providers.
- Financial Reporting: Work closely with the MD and CFO to report on procurement KPIs, price variances, and cost\-saving initiatives.
- Future Forecasting: Working with Manufacturers/Wholesalers to ensure continuity of stock for both our Dispensing Hub and Pharmacy \- paramount to the wider operation.
- Specials Products: Ensuring the company has a long term and competitive specials supplier.
- Monthly Reporting: Host monthly meetings with the MD and CFO to update on performance \& KPI’s and share strategy and future thinking for the wider business.
- Compliance: Ensuring procurement processes inline with GDP, and working with compliance team for conformity.
- Procurement Team: Developing the wider team reporting to you, and supporting them with their growth and responsibilities.
- Other: Attend industry events to build and maintain relationships and grow your network on behalf of the business.
- Expert Market Knowledge: Proven experience in UK pharmaceutical procurement, with a deep understanding of the landscape, generic pricing trends, brand deals and PI sourcing.
- The "Deal\-Maker" Mindset: A formidable negotiator who can evidence significant cost savings and margin improvements in previous roles whilst maintaining sustainable relationships with partners, and working with them in conjunction with the businesses strategy.
- Strategic \& Analytical: Able to interpret complex data to forecast market trends and shift buying patterns ahead of the curve and deal with the constant changing pharmaceutical market.
