Head of Growth \& Partnerships

Full\-time \| UK\-based \| Competitive salary \+ bonus

ABOUT THE FAMILY CHEMIST

The Family Chemist is a fast\-growing UK online pharmacy and health \& beauty retailer on a mission to make quality healthcare and wellness accessible to everyone. We're a close\-knit, ambitious team that moves quickly, backs big ideas, and genuinely cares about the people we serve — our customers and our colleagues.

We're at an exciting stage of growth. We're expanding our health and beauty retail offering, building relationships with healthcare professionals and community organisations, and investing in the digital experience that sets us apart. This role sits right at the heart of all of it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This isn't a box\-ticker role. We're looking for someone who thinks like a director, moves like a salesperson, and has the energy and vision to take The Family Chemist to the next level.

You'll be our external face — charming, credible, and compelling in every room you walk into. You'll build partnerships that open new revenue streams, spot opportunities before competitors do, and work hand\-in\-hand with our marketing, development, and clinical teams to turn ideas into reality.

If you're the kind of person who reads a competitor's website and immediately starts scribbling down what we should do better — this role was written for you.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Partnerships \& Business Development

– Identify, approach, and close strategic partnerships with GP surgeries, care homes, health charities, community pharmacies, and brand sponsors

– Build a pipeline of referral, affiliate, and commercial relationships that generate measurable revenue

– Represent The Family Chemist at health, pharmacy, and retail industry events — and plan our own where the opportunity exists

– Negotiate deals and manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure mutual, lasting value

Growth Strategy \& Market Intelligence

– Own our competitive landscape — regularly analyse competitor websites, marketing, and product offerings and translate findings into actionable opportunities

– Identify gaps in our current offering and bring forward well\-formed proposals for new products, services, or channels

– Develop and execute growth strategies that expand our market presence and customer base

– Work with the digital marketing team on campaigns and launches that drive awareness and conversion

Cross\-functional Leadership

– Be the connective tissue between our marketing, development, and clinical teams — ensuring growth initiatives are aligned, resourced, and delivered

– Lead on new service and product launches from concept through to execution, coordinating across teams without losing momentum

– Set targets, track KPIs, and report on the commercial impact of partnerships and growth activity

– Feed market insight back into the business regularly, clearly, and with conviction

Brand \& Ambassador

– Be a credible, enthusiastic ambassador for The Family Chemist in every external interaction

– Build TFC's reputation among healthcare professionals, community organisations, and potential commercial partners

Help shape how we talk about ourselves — our tone, our positioning, our story

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Above all, we want someone with drive, confidence, and genuine commercial instinct. Someone who doesn't wait to be told what the next move is — they already know, and they're making it happen.

Essential

– Proven track record in partnerships, business development, sales, or a comparable commercial role

– Naturally confident in professional settings — equally at ease with a GP practice manager, a care home director, or a brand marketing team

– Exceptional communicator: persuasive, clear, and adaptable whether you're writing an email, giving a presentation, or having a conversation over coffee

– Commercially sharp — you understand revenue, margins, and what it means to build something that lasts

– Self\-starter who manages their own pipeline, priorities, and output without needing to be chased

– Analytical enough to spot patterns, identify gaps, and make a compelling case for action

Desirable

– Background in pharmacy, health retail, consumer health, or a similar regulated sector

– Experience working with or selling into NHS primary care, care homes, or health charities

– Comfortable working alongside digital marketing, SEO, and development teams

– Experience planning or managing events, trade shows, or community activations

– Familiarity with CRM tools and partnership tracking

WHAT YOU'LL GET

– Competitive salary depending on experience

– Performance bonus tied to commercial outcomes — partnerships opened, revenue generated, milestones hit

– Real ownership and autonomy — this role shapes itself as it shapes TFC

– A collaborative, fast\-moving team where your ideas land and get acted on

– Flexible, remote\-first working with the freedom to get out and meet people

– The chance to be part of something growing — and to grow with it
