HCA/Support Worker
About the Role
Carevia Solutions is expanding its network of experienced Healthcare Assistants across Dudley to support current and upcoming temporary staffing requirements.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and experienced Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to cover a range of day and night shifts including weekdays and weekend. Opportunities range from ad hoc shifts to longer\-term temporary assignments.
Opportunities may be available across a variety of health and social care settings throughout Dorset, depending on local requirements and your previous experience.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the individual assignment, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing high\-quality, person\-centred care and support
- Assisting with personal care, mobility and daily living activities where required
- Supporting individuals to maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing
- Providing reassurance, companionship and emotional support
- Supporting individuals with a range of needs, which may include physical disabilities, learning disabilities, dementia, mental health needs or complex care needs
- Observing and reporting changes in an individual’s health, behaviour or wellbeing
- Following individual care and support plans
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other health and social care professionals
- Following safeguarding, confidentiality, infection control and health and safety procedures
- Supporting with medication where required and only when appropriately trained and authorised
We would like to hear from Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers who have:
- Previous experience within a health or social care setting
- A compassionate, reliable and professional approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of person\-centred care
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- The ability to follow care plans, policies and procedures
- Good record\-keeping skills
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and care environments
- The right to work in the UK
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required for some opportunities.
