As we continue to expand, we are looking for a reliable and practical Handyperson / Operations Officer to join our team based at our Chesterfield head office, supporting property operations and maintenance throughout the East Midlands and South Yorkshire area.
Role Overview
This is a hands\-on role combining maintenance, property setup and operational support. You will help ensure our properties remain in excellent condition and are ready for guest arrivals.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general property maintenance (minor plumbing, basic electrical, painting, repairs, etc.)
- Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance issues
- Support property setup and furnishing when new units are launched
- Assemble furniture and install appliances
- Assist with inventory checks and stock management
- Coordinate with cleaners, contractors and suppliers
- Ensure apartments meet company presentation and safety standards
- Support with smart lock, NEST thermostats, Wi\-Fi and TV setup
- Assist with deliveries, equipment and supply logistics
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues when required
- Experience as a handyperson, maintenance technician or similar role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general DIY repairs
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to travel to properties when required
- Full UK driving licence required and access to own vehicle
- Experience in property management, serviced accommodation or hospitality
- Experience installing smart locks, NEST thermostats, internet routers, TVs and appliances
- Own basic tools
