Overview
Seward Refrigeration Ltd are seeking an experienced and motivated Generalist Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function and support the continued growth of our Group of companies. The role would be based at our Manchester branch (Head office) and would also support our East Anglia and Yorkshire branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR\-related matters.
- Ensure employee job descriptions are in place and updated when required.
- Oversee employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Manage compensation, benefits, and employee wellbeing initiatives.Analyse HR metrics and prepare reports to support strategic decision\-making
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, CIPD qualified would also be preferrable
- Proven experience in a HR Generalist standalone role at a Manager or Senior Advisor level, managing the full employee lifecycle within an SME environment
- Strong employee relations expertise, with confidence handling disciplinaries, grievances and change management
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice with the proven ability to apply this in a practical and commercial manner
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong stakeholder management, organisational and problem\-solving skills with the ability to work independently and influence decision\-making Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
