CAD & Revit Technician

Overview

Seward Refrigeration Ltd are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive CAD \& Revit Technician to join our engineering design team. You will be responsible for bringing complex industrial \& heavy commercial refrigeration plants to life. Working closely with our Design Engineers, you will produce 2D layouts and detailed 3D models of bespoke refrigeration plant, and the role would be based at our Manchester branch in Trafford Park (Hybrid working available)

Key Responsibilities

• Model Creation: Develop, maintain, and update accurate 3D BIM models and 2D CAD drawings.


• System Layouts: Draft instrumentation diagrams (P\&IDs), plant room layouts, compressor packs, vessel skids, structural steel framework and site layouts including pipework routes.


• Documentation: Generate detailed manufacturing/fabrication drawings, schedules, and Bill of Materials (BOM).


• Clash Detection: Perform clash detection between structural, architectural, and M\&E services to ensure designs are fully buildable prior to site installation.


• Design Standards: Ensure all models, drawings, and component families comply with relevant BIM/CAD standards.


• Collaboration: Act as a central link between the design office, project managers, and our manufacturing/site installation teams to resolve spatial or technical issues.

• Proven experience working in a CAD/BIM role.


• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and associated BIM workflows.


• A solid understanding of building construction, coordination, and detailing.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.

• Competitive salary up to £65,000 per annum (Depending on experience).
