Graduate Bridges and Civil Structures Engineer

Location: Telford

Starting Salary: £30,000

Working hours per week: 40 Monday – Friday

Start date: September 2026

About the Team

Our bridges and civil structures team work across a range of sectors including transportation, water and energy. Our clients include National Highways, Transport Scotland, Network Rail, Welsh Government, Department for Infrastructure, MOW Bahamas, Local Authorities and D\&B Contractors. We have multiple long\-term contracts and continue to grow and expand into new regions and markets. Recent / ongoing projects include:

  • Avonmouth and Severn Bridges SBIM contract

  • Lagan Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge

  • Clyde Waterfront \& Renfrew Riverside

  • Scotland North East and South West Trunk Road Management

  • Glass Windows Bridge replacement

  • A66 Northern Trans\-Pennine

  • ADEPT Live Labs 2 Decarbonisation programme

  • M8M73M74 Motorway Improvements DBFO

  • National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework

  • Transpennine Route Upgrade
What you’ll be doing

As a Bridges and Civil Structures Graduate you will:.

  • Be part of an experienced team, working on some of the most exciting and challenging projects across the UK and internationally.

  • Help develop practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.

  • Undertake structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.

  • Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.

  • Assist with bridge inspections, investigations, structural health monitoring, and supervision of works

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of world\-class data, analytics and digital technology solutions.
