About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified scientific graduate to join our Radiopharmacy Team.

Following the Alliance Medical Radiopharmacy (AMR) Graduate Scheme and working in one of our Radiopharmaceutical Production Units (RPUs) you will gain extensive experience in radiopharmacy over a 2\-year period.

If you are a newly qualified graduate looking for a challenging yet rewarding career then this may be the opportunity you are looking for. Alliance Medical Radiopharmacy operate a network of RPUs across the UK. Working within one of the RPUs you will undertake a comprehensive training scheme as either a Production Radiochemist or Quality Control (QC) Radiochemist.

Graduates placed within the Production Radiochemist team will receive training focused on the operation of cyclotrons and the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals in a GMP environment. Candidates working in the QC team will be focused analytical testing of radiopharmaceuticals using a wide range of techniques. Extensive training is Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), radiation safety and Quality Management Systems will be delivered to all. The availability or Production/QC roles will be determined by the operational needs of the RPU.

Radiopharmaceuticals by their very nature have an extremely short shelf\-life. As such these roles will entail unsocial hours and shift work. This is reflected in the remuneration with a local shift pattern to assure a harmonious work\-life balance is maintained.

The AMR Graduate Scheme includes routine progress assessments and staged salary uplifts that are awarded as training milestones are achieved.

Hours of work for the roles are 40 hours per week Monday\-Sunday.

We are inviting applications from newly qualified graduates from a scientific background. To be considered for the role you must hold a BSc/MSc and have graduated in the last 12 months (or expect to graduate at the end of this academic year).

Our benefits include 5 weeks holiday, discounted private health insurance and a pension plan.
