Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in food service and hospitality, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure high standards of food safety and quality, and drive the overall success of the venue.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all aspects of restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring smooth day\-to\-day functioning
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high culinary standards
- Manage team members including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards across all departments
- Develop and implement operational policies to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, manage procurement processes, and control costs effectively
- Foster a welcoming environment for guests, ensuring excellent service delivery in serving and hospitality roles
- Organise staff meetings and training sessions to promote continuous improvement and team cohesion
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly to uphold the establishment’s reputation
- Collaborate with culinary staff on menu development and special event planning
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hotel environment with strong team management capabilities
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Previous experience in restaurant or culinary management roles; hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire staff towards shared goals
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food production and service quality
- Competence in managing budgets, inventory, and procurement processes effectively
- Good understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Experience in managing diverse teams including front\-of\-house service staff such as servers or baristas
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and high standards of service
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£36,500\.00 per year
