General Manager \- for a new, small business with big, bold plans...

The Wheelwrights Arms is a great Pub \& Guesthouse in a beautiful countryside location, 5 minutes drive from Bath centre.

We're looking for a GM / backbone / captain / consistent, calm, stoic role model to keep our ship 'on course' week in, week out.

The current role is about setting the foundations such as ordering stock, cleaning lines, training staff and writing the rota. Fully staffed and fully stocked! Basics first. Your future role will include more exciting tasks such as developing the social media vibe, developing how we run service, creating a new wine list, pop up nights, staff training programs, weddings and events, hiring, working closely with the owner in launching new revenue streams/associated businesses, and much more.

You must have the level of maturity needed to understand that a business needs the basic done consistently well before it can move on. One small improvement at a time. Building the reputation over years, not weeks.

Many people can 'slot in' to established businesses, with established ways of doing things. Not many people can help create the business, create the systems, and bring a vision into reality. These people are special. If you believe this is you, you must apply for this role.
