About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and reliable Support Worker to support a young man, "L", in his family home in Bath.
No previous care experience is required – full training will be provided. However, you must be a driver with your own vehicle as driving is essential to this role.
L lives with his parents and two family dogs. He is a kind, caring young man with a fantastic sense of humour who enjoys a wide range of activities. He attends college, where he develops life skills that he enjoys practising at home. He is creative and artistic, enjoys sports, walking the dogs, Pokémon, and playing on his Nintendo Switch.
L has autism and ADHD and can sometimes experience anxiety. We are looking for someone who is patient, reassuring, empathetic, and able to encourage him to try new experiences while promoting his independence.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting L to attend college and community activities
Providing reassurance and emotional support when needed
Encouraging independence and confidence\-building
Planning and participating in activities based on L's interests
Supporting social inclusion and community engagement
Promoting life skills and personal development
Working closely with L and his family to provide consistent, person\-centred support
What We're looking For
Driver with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Positive, caring, and reliable attitude
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan ahead and organise activities
Confidence working independently and using your initiative
Passion for supporting people to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives
