General Manager

JThe Fleece Pub is looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead the day\-to\-day operation of our busy pub. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands\-on hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, leading a team, and driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the pub, ensuring high standards of service and presentation.


• Lead, motivate, and develop the team to create a positive working environment.


• Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment, and training.


• Drive sales and profitability through excellent customer experience and effective cost control.


• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.


• Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.


• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.


• Monitor financial performance, including sales, labour costs, and margins.

• Previous experience as a General Manager, Pub Manager, or similar hospitality management role.


• Strong leadership and people management skills.


• Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.


• Excellent customer service and communication skills.


• Ability to work under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.


• Personal Licence holder preferred but not essential.
