General Assistant

Job Description:

iQ Medical Ltd is currently looking for an experienced medical device general assistant.

This role requires someone multi\-skilled, who has the ability and adaptability to work across different areas of the business, being flexible with what duties are required. The role will include carrying out tasks within Driving, Warehouse and Workshop department.
Job specific training will be provided.

Main Duties \-

• Delivery and installation of pressure relieving equipment \- This includes making sure that customers are aware of operating and emergency procedures.


• To participate in rostered weekend and bank holiday ‘on call’ emergency cover


• To maintain all records of deliveries and collections and ensure copies are given to office administration on a daily basis.


• To liaise with hospitals/Nursing homes and provide requested servicing information/training.


• Adherence to the uniform policy and wearing safety boots.


• To provide cover in other operational areas as required


• All relevant PPE must always be held on vehicles, and a daily defect form needs to be completed and handed into your manager.


• To repair, test and service medical devices, including dynamic mattress and cushion systems.


• Complete all relevant certificates and paperwork as required.


• Maintenance and housekeeping of the site.


• Ensure the daily work schedule is followed appropriately, so that required equipment is ready for the delivery drivers on the correct days.


• To maintain all records of deliveries and collections and ensure copies are given to the Sales Administrator daily.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving a van, up to 3\.5t


• The jobholder should have logical and practical approach and have sound problem\-solving skills


• The jobholder must have good organisational, administrative, and interpersonal skills and be able to work under their own initiative


• COSHH and Infection Control knowledge would be advantageous


• Knowledge of medical devices such as dynamic mattress pumps would be advantageous


• The jobholder will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check


• For insurance purposes, you must be over the age of 25 with no more than 6 penalty points.
