Garden Development Officer
The Knowe Garden is located on 1\.5 acres in a central and highly accessible part of the community; the site represents a significant asset that is currently underutilised. Due to its scale and setting, the garden is well suited to development as a mixed\-use space that genuinely encourages regular and diverse community use.
Our ambition is to transform The Knowe Garden into a more welcoming, inclusive and vibrant social space for all members of the community. Central to this vision is the creation of a dedicated, flexible outdoor events area capable of hosting live music, small festivals, performances and community celebrations.
Alongside this, a targeted marketing campaign will be developed to promote the expanded use of The Knowe Garden and the wider programme of activities and events. This campaign will aim to raise awareness, broaden participation and encourage greater community ownership and regular use of the space.
The Garden Development Officer will oversee a feasibility study, which will be undertaken by an external contractor, to establish clear steps forward on how outdoor events space within the garden can be best developed to meet the needs and wants of the local community.
