Functional Skills Tutor - ASD Support (17-Year-Old Student)

Job Details The student has additional needs across communication and interaction, cognition and learning, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). A supportive and structured approach will be essential to help build engagement, confidence, and progress.

  • Location: Eastleigh

  • Hours: 8 hours per week

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Type: 1:1 Functional Skills Tutoring

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support and help a young person re-engage with learning in a positive and structured environment.

Requirements • Experience working with students with ASD

  • Understanding of SEMH needs and learning differences

  • Ability to support Functional Skills (English/Maths)

  • Patient, flexible, and encouraging approach

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
