Job Description
The Purchasing and Logistics Officer is responsible for ensuring that the production raw materials are procured and final assemblies are dispatched in a timely and cost effective manner. They must anticipate, analyse, and diagnose supply chain issues and coordinate corrective actions. Drive continuous assessment and improvement of suppliers and cost savings. Maintaining compliance with all regulations including REACH, ITAR and Health \& Safety and Company rules and procedures

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Preparing and processing purchase orders.
· Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
· Managing inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock and minimise waste.
· Planning and coordinating transportation of materials.
· Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
· Developing and implementing procurement and logistics strategies.
· Arranging shipment of customer orders worldwide using a variety on courier options. Ensuring compliance with customer/contract requirements and export control legislation.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor degree in procurement, logistics, supply chain management or a related field would be desirable but not essential as work experience will be considered.
· CIPS Level 4: Diploma in Procurement and Supply is desirable but not essential.
· Supply chain management professional (SCMP) desirable.
· 1\-3 years experience in a similar role and industry.
· Excellent communication skills in English required; ability to communicate in French, considered an asset.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Strong and effective negotiation skills.
· Proven organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to analyse complex situations and solve problems; demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.
· Ability to multi\-task, adapt and take initiative.
· High tolerance for a fast pace working environment.
· Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel \& PowerPoint, etc.).
· Ability to learn new systems and software with ease (eg. ERP system).
· Ability to maintain constant communication and collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., operations, customer service, etc.).

· Must have own car and Full UK licence.
· Candidates will be background checked and security vetted.
Compensation and location
· Starting salary £30,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, pension
· Full Time, 38hrs pw
· Location – Trusley, Derbyshire, UK
· Appointment will be subject to satisfactory completion of 6\-month probationary period.
Pay: £30,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
