About the Role

Eyehut is looking for an enthusiastic and confident Optical Assistant / Canvasser to join our team in Stockport.

This is a varied role combining traditional Optical Assistant duties with a strong focus on canvassing .You will play an important part in helping grow the practice by engaging with the local community, building relationships, and promoting Eyehut's services, while also delivering excellent customer care in\-store.

Key Responsibilities Optical Assistant Duties:

• Welcome and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.


• Help patients choose suitable frames and lenses based on their needs and preferences.


• Book appointments and manage patient enquiries.


• Support the smooth day\-to\-day running of the practice.


• Carry out administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.


• Provide excellent customer service throughout the patient journey.

• Actively promote Eyehut's products and services within the local community.


• Generate leads and encourage new patients to visit the practice.


• Build relationships with local businesses, community groups, and residents.


• Participate in marketing activities and local promotional events.


• Identify opportunities to increase awareness of the Eyehut brand.


• Meet agreed canvassing and patient engagement targets.

• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is desirable but not essential.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Confident approaching and engaging with members of the public.


• Sales and customer service experience would be advantageous.


• Self\-motivated, proactive, and target\-driven.


• Positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
