Full-Time HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver

We’re currently hiring for a full\-time Class 2 (Cat C) driver at our Somercotes depot. The role will include multi drop delivery of orders to our independent convenience store customers. You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot, where you will take ownership for loading your lorry in a morning and then ensuring the delivery of a customer’s order while providing excellent customer service with a positive, problem\-solving response to individual customer needs and always going that extra mile.

What will you be doing as a Class 2 (Cat C) Delivery Driver?

• Multidrop delivery of customers’ orders in cages and on pallets in an organised and timely fashion


• Loading your lorry according to your daily route while following all CPC regulations


• Dealing with Customer queries and payments upon delivery


• Taking responsibility for the zone and lorry that you work in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained


• Supporting other departments as required

What do you need to be a Class 2 (Cat C) Delivery Driver?

• You must have a good understanding of tachograph rules and regulations.


• Confident using tail lifts


• You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service


• Candidates must be CPC qualified and must not have more than 6 points on their license to be considered for the role.


• Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability


• Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team


• Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets

• Rate of pay per hour: £17\.58 (basic) *(\+ £1 driver weighting allowance)*


• Full Time 40 hour weekly salaried position


• Monday – Friday: 07:00am – 15:30pm
