Bagger/ Packer
DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
The Bagging team are responsible for wrapping, bagging, and packaging furniture products to prepare them for storage or shipment. This role ensures all furniture items are protected against damage during handling and transport, following quality and safety standards.
The Bagging team report to the Bagging Team Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Bagging Single Chairs, Sofas and footstools
- Boxing Chairs
- Bagging of bed parts
- Keep stock checks on plastic rolls, and tape
- Wrapping service items.
- Report any damaged or defective items to management
- Visual check over for faults, damage and dirt, where applicable raise this with QC, QC Supervisor or Factory Manager
- Bag all parts of the bed manufactured head/foot, side rails, drawers, cross rails and centre rails
- Add ‘L’ brackets where applicable (all standard sides, none for legged or drawer beds).
- Tape Screws to all cross rails
- 2’3\-4 head/foot together, 4’6\-6 separately due to manual handling restrictions
- Place in the designated area ready for despatch
- Flexible within the company and carry out other duties when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area
- RO Sofas attach joining brackets to each piece, Connect together and test before QC And bagging
- Staple a fire label to every piece of furniture before bagging
- Good communication skills
- Able to work under pressure in a fast\-paced environment
- Secondary school education

Monday to Thursday 6am \- 2\.30pm
Friday 6am \- 12pm
Must be physically fit, hard working and reliable, overtime is available as and when required
